Kim Gibilisco began her professional performing career as a member of Murray Louis & Nikolais Dance. From 1994 - 1999 she toured with the company nationally and internationally dancing leading roles in the choreography of both Alwin Nikolais and Murray Louis.
She holds an M.A. from New York University's School of Education and a B.F.A. in Dance from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University.
Kim's choreography has been presented at The D.U.M.B.O. Arts Festival, The Frederick Lowe Theatre, Peridance Center, 550 Broadway, Marymount Manhattan College, The Alvin Ailey Studio, The Nikolias/Louis Dance Lab and in Lucca, Italy.
Kim has taught modern dance in the Nikolais/Louis tradition in the Dance Education program at NYU and Peridance Center and has conducted master classes at Yale University. She is currently an adjunct faculty member at Marymount Manhattan College and is a Pilates instructor. She shares a private practice with her husband Robert Turner specializing in post-rehabilitation and fitness training for professional dancers and performing artists.
In addition to performing with Restless.Native.Dance, Kim is also a member of KDNY under the direction of Kathleen Dyer.

 

Wanjiru Kamuyu is a native of Kenya, East Africa, where she began her dance training in ballet. She has trained at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center, American Dance Festival, Detroit City Dance Company and Philadanco. Wanjiru holds a MFA in dance from Temple University. She has performed with choreographers Shani Collins, Sean Curran, Anita Gonzalez, Trebien Pollard, Biza Sompa and Marlies Yearby.
She is currently in her fourth season with Jawole Willa Jo Zollar's Urban Bush Women. Thanks to Tamieca McCloud for this wonderful experience. Wanjiru also thanks her family, friends and above all the Most High for blessings, support and love.

 

Julie Rose graduated from Ohio University, where she studied both dance and social work. Since moving to the "big city", she has worked with David Dorfman, Terry Hollis, Stephan Koplowitz and John-Mario Sevilla. Her work has been performed at venues in Ohio, New York and Tokyo, Japan. Julie is currently training for her Pilates certification.

 

Francine Sheffield is a native of New Jersey and a graduate of Montclair State University. She has performed for various choreographers, including H.T. Chen, Wendy Perron, Stephan Koplowitz, David Rousseve, Marlies Yearby and Amy Pivar. Francine is currently in her fifth season as a member of Urban Bush Women.
