Restless.Native.Dance (RND) was established to provide a vehicle through which dancer/choreographer Tamieca McCloud could realize her ideas through movement. Its purpose is to foster a blending of movement with other aspects of life and artistic mediums - culture, history, social concerns, literature and music. Its goal is to enlighten and educate - exposing and negating ethnic, cultural, racial, sexual, religious, physical and artistic stereotypes. Its hope is to encourage the imagination of its audience - serving the public by creating, celebrating and supporting all forms of positive and educational artistic expression.

RND made its debut at the Judson Memorial Church in March 1999, with the presentation of works created while Tamieca was an artist-in-residence with Movement Research through the support of the Van Lier Fund. Since then, while often performing as a solo artist, Tamieca has been honored with the company of some wonderfully talented artists who have become a part of the RND family.
